For sale here is a pre-owned- Zygo Handitek Quarter Hour Watch System (Time Management for People who cant tell Time) This is a complete Handitek System that is in perfect condition. It is a current model device and I guarantee it will not be DOA. I have identical systems if you need more than one. Performs the function of a watch for the developmentally disabled to manage time and ensure they show up for timed events. (school, eating, work, bathing, play, etc…) Comes with everything needed to put into immediate use. Also comes with all the available options to include blank event cards, watch faces, padded case, operating manual, rack and new batteries. This system will cost $1475.00 from the manufacture. Why buy new when you can get the same thing here for a fraction the cost. Fully supported with additional supplies available from the manufac turer. Super simple to use and a very effective time management tool. Event cards are easily developed and reusable once they are set-up. Any symbol can be attached to the event card to identify it. Simply place the event card in the device and 8 dark dots are displayed. Two hours before the event is take place an audio alarm sounds to notify the user the event is two hours away. Every 15 minutes one of the dark dots turns into a circle signifying the event is getting closer. When one dot is left then the event occurs in 15 minutes. When the event time arrives an audio alarm is sounded and all the dots start blinking. There is an internal clock that can be set. I have pasted the manufacturers description below. The Quarter Hour Watch is an entirely new concept in time management for individuals with developmental disabilities. It lowers the level of abstraction to allow the use of "time" without needing to read a clock's time. The basic principles are: • events are presented by pictures — easy to understand and easy to program to specific times. • these pictures are placed into the Quarter Hour Watch and the time remaining to the event is shown as lighted points. Each point represents one quarter of an hour. If there are 2 hours or more remaining to the event all the points are dark. After each quarter hour, a point turns light until they are all light and a signal is sounded and the points flash. The pictures are placed on impact resistant plastic chips (about the size of 35 mm slides) that have programmable inserts on the back. The insert have a clock pattern and are simple to set for any absolute time. With the Quarter Hour Watch, developmentally delayed individuals may gradually, and at their own speed, learn how to manage time related events. The most elementary use — how to use the device to be on time — might slowly but surely develop into use for planning in the time dimension. The Quarter Hour Watch is small, robust and operates on 3 AAA alkaline batteries. It comes with 10 plastic chips, a mounting rack and carry bag.
