Our products are generally sold with thickness specifications as follows: paper-backed veneers = 1/40”, wood-backed veneers = 1/25” and raw plain veneer with no backing = 1/32”-1/42”. To cut, the veneer is typically scored with a razor/box knife along with a straight edge. Apply paper-backed and wood-backed veneers with contact cement and raw plain veneer with white or yellow wood glue. Pressure must be applied while drying. The color in the pictures may vary slightly, but we have made every effort to show an accurate representation. Backed products are supplied with 10mil paper glue backers on one side, while the other side is paper. You can choose any bonding agent for the paper side. For raw veneer or un-backed products, we suggest seeking advice from the internet on how best to handle the product as opinions vary. Veneer can be finished with most conventional finishing products. Sometimes veneers may have minor splits or tears, usually taped or repaired. There may also be some minor wood filler used to fill cracks and other crevices. Sanding is required before finishing to prepare the surface for a finish and remove tape or splice glue. All measurements are in inches. Shipping will be combined if you win multiple auctions. Some splits may occur at the end of raw veneer. This lot of "EXOTIC" BECH1 2-11-15 wood veneer in beech is made up of 20 pieces that measure 15x34 inches.
