In this case, we refund 0% of the original shipping charge and 90% of the product charge. Please note, restock fee for certified thermometers, Ohaus items and for chemicals is 25% of the sell cost because these are specialized products and special shipping is required in many cases. If product arrives defective or broken, we will promptly replace or refund the item at the buyers choice, however we do require pictures of the product and packaging, and possibly even the packing slip to help eliminate these issues from recurring by holding our employees or couriers accountable and improve customer satisfaction in the long run. If the buyer purchases multiple items and one or more of the items are broken or defective, yet not all of the items, we will promptly replace the broken/defective items or refund any or all of the items returned upon return receipt of the returned items. In such a case we will pay the return shipping. We reiterate the policy that once a package has left our borders, it is the responsibility of the customer to receive the package, and that does include the customer being responsible for customs duties.
