STATEMENT OF THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE(S) AND OTHER INGREDIENT(S) Each strip contents 3,6 mg Flumethrin 4. INDICATION(S) For diagnostics, prophylaxis and treatment of varroatosis in bees 5. CONTRAINDICATIONS Not to be applied during the honey collection. 6. ADVERSE REACTIONS Not observed. If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinary surgeon. 7. TARGET SPECIES Bees 8. DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION The dose depends on the strength of the bee family. Young end slightly affected bee families – 1 to 2 strips. Normally developed bee families – 2 to 4 strips. The strips stay 35 days, but not more then 6 weeks. For diagnosis of the Varroatosis – at the bottom of the hive shall be placed white paper. The strips stay 24 hours. 9. ADVICE ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION The folio package shall be torn and the strips shall be taken out immediately before use. They are placed between the honeys – combs in the center, as they are hanged up between the frames. Treatment by the bee families by means of Varostop shall be performed: In the early spring – when there aren’t big brood areas in the bee family. In the summer – after the honey harvest, when mothers are strongly restricted to lay, the bee and drone brood areas are small, the rest of the areas are full of honey and most of the female mites are over the bees. The treatment is made directly after the extraction of the honey from the main bee crop. In the autumn – when the brood areas are progressively decreasing. 10. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD Not applicable 11. SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS Keep out of the reach and sight of children. The product has to be stored in closed, dry storages with room temperature (15oC – 30oC) and RH between 40 and 60 %, protected from direct sunlight. 12. SPECIAL WARNING(S) None. 13. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS, IF ANY Varostop Strips are used immediately after opening the primary package.
