View on YouTube This is a commercial edge basting sewing machine by US Blind Stitch company model EBA. Machine is sold as head only and needs to be mounted to your commercial base and motor, also has a knee lifter capability for the pressure foot. Very simple machine, just a single thread machine, bastes firm, and yet can be easily removed (see video). I got this machine without a motor so to test it and video I just used a standard 1.5 amp domestic sewing machine motor — but this is a commercial machine and is made to run via a commercial high speed motor (counter clockwise rotation). Also it is videoed running tex92 polyester thread through some heavy duty fabric and even with the small test motor had no problem. Stitch length is adjustable I think [I'm not sure how to do it] but there is a dial with numbers in the throat area of the machine. Machine comes with a box of new #6 needles (prob about 50) and 3 replacement hooks/loopers. US Blind stitch is still in business and they say that they are capable of servicing this vintage machine if needed in future, and they also have replacement parts. Machine is probably about 50 years old, it is formerly from a local mill here in S.C. Machine is in working order, please check the demo video, it is of this machine. Machine ships as sewing head only, NO Motor, it will be shipped threaded with the sample pictured and also the needles and hooks/looper pictured. Machine has flat bottom and can be mounted on top of a standard table.
