Insert plates for the Delta Unisaw "Junior" table saw Now you can replace that broken and/or chewed up OEM die cast insert plate on your valuable vintage Unisaw Junior saw. We have numerous styles of insert plates now availble for the Unisaw Junior. The price listed is for one plate of your choice of style. All of these nominal 10.75" x 3.5" plates are made of 1/4" thick 6061 aluminum plate, and CNC machined for an exacting fit. Each plate comes complete with four (4) leveling screws in the stock locations and a 5th screw to keep the front edge of the plate level with the saw 's table. All of the leveling screws are steel socket head set screws and are accessible from the top side for easy adjustment. Each screw has a vibration resistant patch to prevent them from loosening or moving on their own. The screws use a non-hardening elastomer material on the threads that is a non-locking type material so adjustment is readily made at any time with a small hex wrench from the top side. This listing offers five (5) different styles of insert plates. The photos show the different plates and are labeled according to the descriptions below. The plates are offered in original equipment slotted configurations as well as "zero clearance" configurations, where you cut your own close fitting slot with a carbide tipped saw blade. "Type JR- A" This is a "zero clearance" type insert with the secondary OEM slot in rear end of the plate to accomodate the original splitter and blade guard. A depression is milled into the backside of the plate to reduce the plate thickness to 1/8" in the zone where you would cut your own close fitting opening. Instructions are included to cut the slot with a carbide tooth saw blade. "Type JR- B" This is a billet aluminum copy of the Junior's "standard" plate and is designed to match the Delta OEM plate # TAM-123. This plate has the 5/16" wide blade clearance slot and a similar width secondary slot in the rear to accomodate the Junior's splitter and OEM blade guard. "Type JR- C" This is a "zero clearance" type insert, like the Type JR-A, but has eliminated the rear splitter slot. This plate has a depression milled into the backside of the plate to reduce the material thickness to 1/8" in the zone where you would cut your own close fitting opening. Instructions are included for this insert as well to cut the slot with a carbide tooth saw blade "Type JR- D" This is another billet aluminum version of the Junior's "standard" plate, but has eliminated the rear splitter slot.. This plate has only the 5/16" wide slot for the saw blade. Many of the Junior saws in service do not regularly operate with the splitter and OEM guard in place, so this insert plate works best for this application. "Type JR- E" This is a billet aluminum copy of the OEM style "dado" plate for the Unisaw Junior. It has an opening with the same 1" wide x 5.5" long dimensions as the original Delta insert number TAM-124.
