The Bug Oven is a self contained heating cabinet that can safely raise the temperature of items placed in it to a point that is fatal to bedbugs. This is an ideal treatment for clothing, shoes and other items that can not be washed or might react to chemical treatment. This includes personal electronics, books, magazines and papers as well as digital media, musical instruments and luggage. Any item that can be heated safely to 150?F is safe in this cabinet. The insulated cabinet uses an economical electric heating element and a gentle forced air system; all controlled by a pre-programmed digital controller. The Bug Oven uses 110vac (15amps) and can be plugged into most household outlets. No special wiring is needed. The digital controller will maintain the proper temperature (+/-5?F). The programming allows for a low temperature (120?F) and high temperature (150?F) cut off limits and a set point of 130?F. Also included are two battery powered digital thermometers that the user can place in the items being treated so that you can ensure that the proper temperature (115?F) has been reached. The case is a heavy duty, all steel wardrobe cabinet mounted on locking casters for ease of mobility. The outside dimensions of the cabinet are 72” high, 36” wide and 24” deep.
