From it's appearance this is a barely used Magnetic Stirrer from Barnstead/Thermolyne. . The company is based is Duguque Iowa and the label on the back of the unit states it was made in the United States. The unit has 120 volts, 7.3 amps and 858 Watts. The Hz is 50/60 and it is Phase 1. The stirrer is very clean and there is no evidence of residue on the unit The color is beige and the plate cover is shiny and the rest of the unit is lightly textured. The front label states it's a NUOVA Stir Plate. It has two knobs in front, Heat on the left, Stir on the right. Both knobs have a light to indicate on/off. Both knobs go to 10. On the back right hand top side there is a hole with a black knob. I imagine that is where you park the Stir Bar or Flea when you are not using it. There is a 2 inch Flea included which has been used just once when I took it out of the blister pack to make sure the unit works, which it does. The Stirrer weighs a little north of 8 pounds. It's 12 inches long, 7 3/4 inches deep and 4 1/4 inches tall. While this will be mostly of interest to lab people I understand home brewers use it also. Thanks.
