You are purchasing an AirVest and AirChaps made by Summitstone that is used to keep workers cool in extremely hot work places such as welders and industrial painters. This suit was used for demonstrations purposes in a welding factory. The vest and chaps connects to factory compressed air that is passed through the vest to provide cooling comfort to workers. This suit was used very little as can be seen in the condition of the brass air connection fittings. Check the Summitsone web site for additional information. The retail for this suit is $538.95. The AirVest™first among all other cooling methods for industrial applications such as Welding, Painting or Sandblasting. The new silver fabric AirVest™ is fire and flame retardant and utilizes standard compressed air to effectively cool personnel in places where traditional air conditioning is not feasible. The air ambient air temperature is dropped 20F by the vest. 90F into the vest and 70F out to the wearer. Operators can tee off their paint spray air line or tape an air line to their welding cable and stay comfortable all day. This vest can be used with the AirChaps to provide full body cooling for truly extreme conditions. The vest connects to any existing compressed air source - simply put the vest on, drop an air line from the ceiling or put a tee on your current air tool line and you are ready to go. The vest works by two patented methods to cool personal. Air is drawn in by a compressor where the air that was heated by the compression, much like a diesel engine, then cools in the storage tank and is de-humidified by the condensing of moisture on the sides of the storage tank. The now ambient temperature air flows to the vest where tuned ports in the vest expel the air, where it drops in pressure and consequently in temperature.(Boyle's Law) Personal are covered in cool dry air exiting from the vest.
