SONLOK® REMOVABLE THREADLOCKER Handy 10 ml (about 1/3 oz) bottle Medium Strength - after curing, fasteners which have been installed with threadlocker may be easily removed with hand tools. Comparable to Blue Loctite® 242™ SONLOK® THREADLOCKER is a high-performance anaerobic adhesive which cures when in close contact with metal in the absence of air. It is specifically designed to secure threaded fasteners to prevent loosening, leakage, and corrosion. SONLOK® threadlocker adhesive is methacrylate based. This is a "thixotropic" fluid, basically meaning that it is viscous and must be vigorously shaken before use. (It also means that it doesn't migrate after application). BLUE #3242 is medium-strength and temperature resistant (to 300 F) and is appropriate for relatively small fasteners - recommended for 1/4" to 3/4" bolts. Medium viscosity. It's perfect for preventing bolts and nuts from loosening under vibration and pressure - and the parts can easily be disassembled after the glue has cured by using hand tools. Curing time can be decreased with the application of heat. Allow 10 minutes to activate, 24 hours for full cure.
