Sika, Backer Rod 3/4" Diameter x 20' Long Backer Rod 3/4" diameter x 20' Long Use to partially fill deep cracks or joints before applying sealant. Acts as a filler in large gaps before applying sealant. Clean joints removing all dirt, grass, debris and old filler material. Push backer rod into joint. If necessary, use blunt tool or roller. Leave 1/4" to 1/2" depth for caulking. Joint depth and width should be approximately the same. For best results, diameter of backer rod should be 1/8" larger than the width of joint. For joints larger than backer rod, twist two strands of rod together to fill the gap, then seal per label recommendations. Contents: 20 ft. of 3/4" Backer Rod Caution: Do not expose to open flame or use with hot melt adhesives and sealants with temperatures over 200 degrees Farenheit (93 C).
