I am able to power on this recorder. The digital display is bright and it displays various messages. I was able to adjust menu settings using different keys with ease and the recorder needle did move side to side upon powering on. I really lack the knowledge and equipment to test this item any further so it is being sold as-is. Unpacked dims 13x18x12 see pictures for more details.
