SINGER 201-2 Serial No. AK536143- 1950 CENTENNIAL Here is ANOTHER of OUR LOVELY REFURBISHED MACHINES (We sell a lot of Refurbished machines to HAPPY CUSTOMERS - See Feedback) This one is a BEAUTY SEWS BEAUTIFULLY It is VERY SMOOTH and POWERFUL Easily controlled from SLOW to FAST! for your Quilting, Crafts, Upholstery and Free Motion Work (Pictured sewing upholstery leather and heavy upholstery - samples included) Includes: Manual Starter attachments: Adjustable Cording / Zipper Foot & Free Motion Foot Bobbins New Needles size 14, 16 and 18 Power cord and Foot Controller (New wiring) THIS IS A BEAUTY The Chrome is beautiful Extremely CLEAN COMPLETELY REFURBISHED: It has been gone through part by part (see photo*) Completely cleaned inside and out. Oiled and Lubricated. Timing Checked and Set. Tension completely cleaned, rebuilt and set. All Electrical checked, rewired where necessary, including motor. Original parts as much as possible including decals and paint Motor has been completely serviced and reconditioned for maximum power and efficiency (even though original wire is MINT) Newly wired Power cord and Foot Controller A comment about how to get an excellent, SAFE machine: Good wiring is essential for full performance in a 201 The biggest problem with 201's is that the motor grease gets on the motor wires and destroys the insulation, mostly up high where it is hard to see, or heat on the old insulation makes it brittle and crumbling. You have to pull the motor housing off the machine to inspect it and if necessary completely rewire it. Before you purchase make sure the motor wires have been checked closely and replaced if necessary as I do with all of mine. THIS MACHINE HAS MINT CONDITION WIRING HEAVY DUTY MACHINE - GEAR DRIVEN - ALL METAL GEARS A PERFECT MACHINE FOR UPHOLSTERY and CRAFTS Also wonderful for free motion sewing for quilting. The feed dogs drop and it works beautifully. It is heavy and stays put. Will stand alone on table top to work.
