Radio Shack Sound Level Meter with Case and Manual, not working This is the famous Radio Shack Analog Sound Level Meter, catalog number 42-3019.  I bought it 3 or 4 decades ago and it served me well until about a year or so ago, while Radio Shack stores were still a common fixture.  One day when I turned it on, nothing happened.  Fresh battery--same result.  I was quite disappointed, but with 35 or so years of service, I certainly got my money's worth I went to buy a new one, but this model had been discontinued.  I had to get the current digital sound level meter.  I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get the same one, but the new one works well.  There is currently no battery installed, for safe storage.  I have no idea what is wrong with it.  One day it just didn't work.  Every time I had used it before it worked fine, unless the battery needed to be replaced.  It might be something simple and easy to fix.  It looks almost new and comes in its carrying case and with its manual.  I have taken good care of it and treated it well since I bought it.  If you are willing to risk $5 plus another $5 for shipping and are a little bit handy electronically, this might be simple to fix and good for another 30-40 years.   Shipping in the USA is $5.  Payment by PayPal is expected within three days of the auction's close, but you should email me within 48 hours if you haven't paid within 48 hours.  Local pickup is also possible if you are willing to travel to Baltimore, Maryland.  Any questions?  Send me an email.  Also see my other auctions and my feedback.
