Process mixer Double arm Sigma Mixtruder extruder Vacuum 13gal Battaggion Used sigma type process kneading mixer/extruder in very good clean condition. This machine has dual sigma style mixing blades to mix the product and a screw type discharge screw to extrude the mixed material from the machine. The entire system consists of the main mixing machine, the control cabinet and the temperature control system. Mixing chamber can be evacuated with the onboard vacuum pump. The sigma blades are powered with a 10HP gearhead motor and the extruding screw is powered with a 7.5HP gearhead motor. Motor speed is controlled and monitored by two AC drives that are housed in the vertical control cabinet. Control cabinet also houses all of the fuses, contactors, overloads and control buttons for the system. The temperature regulation system uses electric heaters to heat oil which is then circulated to the jacketed mixing bowl. Using the measured dimensions of the bowl the total capacity was found to be 20.5 gallons. The approximate working capacity would be about 13 gallons or 50 liters. These double arm sigma mixers can be used for base silicones and rubber, mastics, glue, high viscosity adhesives, composite material, color and pigments, special lubricants, brakes compounds, explosives and abrasive products, fine chemicals and more. Machine was wired for 380 V three phase 50 hertz. The motors can run on either 50 or 60 Hz and 400 to 460V. The VFDs appear to be 415 V specific, and 50 to 60 Hz. Other than the VFDs there are not many components to the control system that would need to be considered. To run this system on US electrical service the following changes would need to happen: Method A Power machine with a 460 to 400 V transformer Method B 1. Change VFDs to a 460V units 2. Change control transformer to 460/24V unit instead of 400/24V unit 3. *Thermal overloads may need to be changed The temperature control unit consists of electric heaters and the heater controlling components. The heating elements themselves would most likely be fine to operate on 460V and the control circuit transformer taps moved from 400V to 440V. Some of the fuses may need to be changed. It should be verified that the control board can operate on 60hz. This system is in very good condition. Used mixing machines of any type can accumulate residue which this machine has very little of. Overall appearance of the unit is very good and clean with only a small amount of residue and only a few minor scratches.
