Single Incident Ebola Protection Kit   This is perfect for police, security, teachers, camp counselors, nurses and anyone else who might find themselves unexpectedly in a situation where they need to protect themselves from Ebola or other bloodborne pathogens. The kit is small, coming in a handy 4 3/4" W x 6" H zippered pouch that clips easily onto a belt, purse or gear bag, but it contains the basic items you need to help protect yourself from infection in a pinch.   Contains:   1 Ear Loop Mask with Eye Shield – The mask protects your nose and mouth, but the eye shield is equally important, as the eyes are a common infection site for Ebola and other pathogens.    2 Pairs of Synthetic Nitrile Exam Gloves – It has been theorized that some health care professionals who became infected with Ebola were exposed because they did not follow proper procedure when removing their gloves. Don’t take the chance! Double gloving greatly reduces your risk of a catastrophic mistake in de-gloving.   1 Hibistat Wipe – No alcohol-based wipe will kill the Ebola virus (or any other virus, for that matter), but the added anti-microbial action of Hibistat will make a less hospitable environment for the virus, decreasing its chance of survival on surfaces that you wipe down.      Note: None of these items will protect you from Ebola with 100% effectiveness. If you know you’re going into a “hot zone,” you need a full protective suit and respirator. If, however, you need something to give you a reasonable amount of protection when you’re caught off guard, this kit is small enough and convenient  enough to bring with you just about anywhere and will give you the basics you need to improve your chances of avoiding infection.
