 Newport brand handheld motion controller, model 861. Designed to operate open-loop CMA Actuators. Adjustable DC voltage (velocity) and polarity (fwd/rev) controls. Tested via multimeter with internal 9v battery installed. FWD and REV buttons provide positive or negative current via MOTOR jack, VELOCITY dial adjusts output voltage from approximately 1.26V (MIN) to 8.31V (MAX). See photos showing operation. Not tested with motor/actuator, sold as-is. Has some paint or adhesive on the plastic case (see photos), otherwise in good physical condition. Battery / external power supply not included. Information from the Manufacturer: The Newport 861 Handheld Motion Controller allows a simple way to control the speed and direction of Newport CMA-12CC and CMA-25CC Motorized Actuators. This is a 9-volt unit, and can be run off a 9v battery or by the included 110VAC transformer.
