The improved handle is made of high quality aluminum and comes equipped with a longer 1.2 inch knurl throughout the grip area for ease of use. When assembled, the total overall length is only 5.5 inches so it will fit better in JDV's tool pouch, part number TH250. It is ideal for wrapping or unwrapping 22-24 AWG wire with ease. To switch from wrapping to unwrapping simply remove the end cap and move it to the other end. The end cap resists loosening during unwrap operations. The unwrap tip of the HWUR224 is designed with a relieved area behind the helix. The wire coils into this relieved area when unwrapping and is removed by pulling the unwrapped wire at a right angle to the tool.
