This is a very cool technology for robust liquid leak sensing. a light beam inside the sealed unit bounces from a receiver to a detector unless liquid outside changes the refraction and allows the light to "escape". It is not sensitive to many things that ordinary liquid sensors are. There is a gray bracket that you mount then the sensor snaps into it. NPN Output, 12-24VDC Here are the mfg specs: The Yamatake HPQ-D leak detection sensors are compactly designed and constructed entirely of sealed, Teflon PFA material. Designed for mounting on the bottom of semiconductor wet process tools, the device detects liquid leaks or spills by light refraction. The HPQ-D requires as little as 1ml of liquid for sensor operation. The self-contained unit does not require an amplifier, offering NPN or PNP transistor output with each sensor.
