It's a highly polished, high quality stainless steel spreader with long permanent handles for good leverage. It's designed to loosen molars by creating a gap between them before extraction. With the closed handles, which are designed for a one-hand grip, be aware to keep fingers from being pinched. This spreader is a thin jaw design which can get between tightly packed molars. We also have a thick jaw design molar spreader listed separately. It's made for professional use by experienced practitioners.
