ONE NEW 3 ROW- 18 LINE PER INCH WOOD CHECKERING TOOLS These are forward cutting Checkering Tools that cut diamonds in wood for Duck calls, Gunstocks, or any Carfts. Your buying (1) three row checkering tool 18 Line Per Inch Spacing. Once you create the angle of diamond with your master lines using a single cutter you just follow those lines with these cutters.The cutters are spacers which have excellent control, easily cut sharp spacing, and about 5" long. Don't have to worry about over running pattern because they cut so clean and sharp. You can take very thin .005" brass place under tape and mask it to the edge of your pattern if you afraid of over running pattern. I normally stop short of the inside layout and use single line cutters to sharpen up those areas anyway. The Grobets will outlast Dembart & Gunline inserts many more times. Here is a tip, just use 60 Deg diamond file to sharpen up the spaces. The cutters are New Vintage Tools never used that come out of box of 25. You can't buy these rifflers any longer. Grobet stopped making them back in the 70's. Not many left so get them now before they are gone. Made of harden steel around 67 Rc, manufacture stampings on side with their logo running rabbit.You can make or buy small wood handles to attach to the ends of the cutter to protect your hand. THE 18 LINE SPACING AN EASY SET TO START WITH DOING ANY DECORATIVE CRAFTS BECAUSE OF WIDER SPACING. JUST TAKES A LITTLE MORE TIME TO BRING DIAMOND TO A POINT.
