This is a National Electronics Model NL-2888A High Power Ignitron Tube and test stand. The tube is equivalent to GE Part No. 37207A and is based on original GE design. Obtained from Westinghouse High Voltage Laboratory and was used for switchgear experiments with only 10 hours of use recorded. It is in perfect condition and tested by the engineer. The tube is rated for 25,000 Volts peak at 10 Amps average anode current.The continuous power rating is 250 kW. The peak anode current is 300,000 Amps. The ignitor firing voltage is 1500 Volts for 10 microseconds.This beautiful Ignitron is cooled by an internal water jacket and requires 1.5 GPM water flow to use at full rating. Water port is shown in photo. Presently mounted on a 36 inch high test stand built of Micarta and rated for 75 kV blocking above ground. Tube may be demounted and used in other fixtures. This tube is still in production in USA. Combined system weighs about 75 lbs. We will only ship to a USA location. Sold with data sheet from National Electronics.Thanks for bidding.
