Vintage Motorola APCOR UHF Multi-Plex Radio. Originally used by Paramedics to communicate with local hospitals and to transmit ECG from the field to the ER. Yes, just like Johnny and Roy did. This unit contains two MX Series radios and can receive and transmit at the same time while sending ECG. This is a 12 Watt radio. The unit is totally self contained and can be re-crystaled to the 70 cm Amateur Radio Band. This unit powers up when a battery is installed. BATTERY IS NOT INCLUDED.This unit has been sitting on a shelf for a while and needs tuning. It currently has space for 10 channels but only Med 1-8 are installed. Believe this was originally used by an air transport unit. It has multiple PL's installed. I don't think this unit saw any serious field use as it appears in nearly new condition. Please ask questions if you have them. Would make a great ARES Group project. Thanks for looking! 73's
