There is a lot of information in my description and I encourage you to read it all. This is a nice pill counter, fully programmable and it does it all. Perfect for any size pharmacy, hospital, clinic, laboratory, physicians office or anywhere else prescription filling, compounding or accurate weighing is done. I guarantee it will not be DOA. This system is complete with the pill counter scale, barcode scanner, draft shield, power supply and operating manual. Super easy to use and I have tested all features. I was easily able to weigh all types of pills/tablets in manual or record library modes. Barcodes were easily added to the library. The weighing feature is incredibly accurate and Calibration is easy. Meets State Boards of Pharmacy and certified by NTEP. This is the newer model Baker Universal system and an upgrade from the old APS 2000 system with a smaller footprint, easier to use controls and sleeker design. This model is currently supported by the manufacturer. The barcode scanner securely rests in the flexible arm for hands free scanning or can be removed for hand scanning. RxCheck/Non-RxCheck - This mode allows you to scan stock bottle bar codes and prescriptions (optional) as well as immediately count pills from a pre-stored library. 2. Weighing - This mode allows you to weigh (in grams) drugs and compounds. 3. Manual Counting - This mode allows you to count without scanning bar codes by manually selecting a sample size and continuing to count. The BU2010 counts tablets/capsules by weight. The BU2010 provides a means for automatic retrieval of a drug's programmed piece weight from the data library stored in the BU2010 . By scanning the bar code number on the stock bottle or prescription, data is retrieved from the library. When a scanned number is not located in the library, a simple procedure adds it to the library ready for use the next time. In the event the capacity of the library is exceeded, the BU2010 automatically deletes the oldest unused record to make room for the new entry. Normal use will continuously build and update the library. I am very familiar with this system and I have read the operating instructions and tested this machine extensively. It is right every time. All modes and counting features are working. Everything is here and in very nice condition. The current calibration is good. All cords are good. I called McKesson and they sent me the operating manual via email. I printed up a fresh copy and will send it with the machine to the winning bidder. There is no scoop included but any light weight plastic scoop will work. I used a styrofoam bowl for testing. Will require a 200 gram weight for calibration. I used my test weight to calibrate. A 200g weight can be purchased cheap on ebay. AGE: This is current model being manufactured and sold by Mckesson.
