These can also be used for an attic or crawlspace screen, or even used as a critter resistant air vent in barns or chicken coops. FEATURES: The following information comes directly from the Lifetime Industries website: These multi-purpose permanent Metal filters are engineered to effectively remove particulate matter and to keep rain droplets or moisture carry-over from entering your HVAC system. Choose from commercial and Industrial grand models in an array of standard and custom sizes. Commercial grade models are available in aluminum construction only. Industrial grade models are offered in aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel and other specialty metals. The media pack in each filter consists of multiple layers of corrugated wire screen mesh arranged in a specific pattern to provide optimum performance. The media pack is then enclosed in a one-piece U-channel frame resulting in a durable, long lasting filter that will with-stand repeated washings, even in the most difficult applications. The corners of the U-channel frame are precision mitered to assure smooth even edges. Expanded metal retainers provide additional rigidity and support.
