 Offered this auction is a Thompson made Quarter-Size rule case measures approx. 15" x 7 7/16" x 15/ 16" tall. Contains compartments for rule from 1 to 9 1/2 picas, varying by one-half picas, and 10 to 36 picas, varying by picas. Each compartment will hold 20 pieces of 2 point rule. Case has boxes for miters. Ideal for storage of precut lengths of brass rule and or cast type metal rule. This is identical design/case layout as Hamilton's Quarter-Size rule case No. 3045.     If your new to letterpress and do not have the room / money to own a lead and slug cabinet this is a good interim alternative. If you decide to invest in a lead and slug cabinet later you can always use this case for its original intended purpose for rule. I have one of these in my shop dedicated to one point leads and copper. Case construction is of maple wood with solid and durable Masonite bottom. Corners have wood joint construction. The case offered has very little wear and tear from shop use, could almost pass for new. Very solidly made no loose joints,  no broken or damaged partitions. If you own a blank full size (32 3/16" x 16 5/8") type case you will be able to store four of these Quarter-size cases side by side inside one case, hence the quarter case designation.  Please keep in mind when you compare like items, this item includes Free expedited which can add quite a bit of savings when you consider that shipping is already included.   This item includes Free Expedited Shipping via USPS Priority Mail.
