From a university surplus sale, a KEEBLER vacuum mixer. This was from the ag department - something to do with their cattle program. I assume they were using it for some sort of meat testing or something. Motor and vacuum pump both work fine. The hopper also tips over, to dump it out - it's very clean inside; they kept good care of it. I'd guess it holds maybe 20 gallons or so. Power is 3-phase, 240/480v. Only 3/4 hp, but it runs thorugh a reducer, with chain and sprocket drive, so that's plenty. Since it's such a small hp motor, I'd guess you could replace it with your own single phase if you were so inclined. The blades turn relatively slowly - it's not a blender, just a mixer. The chamber does pull vacuum, I don't know what units the gauge uses - I ran it up to '8' and then stopped. I didn't wait to see what max vacuum was, just long enough to see it worked. It has a tapered valve on top so control the amount of pressure. There is a motorized Gast lubricator on top of the vacuum pump, and that lubricator is out of oil, so you'll probably want to add oil before running this thing for a long time. It will ship freight, crated. I should probably be able to send it to any continental US buisness address for NO MORE THAN $500.
