New - In Original Open Box Heavy-duty Id Tech Omni swipe reader reads barcode and/or magnetic stripe media. Its die-cast metal base and one-piece heavy plastic housing make it ideal for rugged environments. Id Tech's Omni Bar Code/Magnetic Stripe Swipe Reader's scan bar codes printed on paper, card stock, or plastic. An infrared option is available for security-based applications, where bar codes are overprinted to prevent duplication. Id Tech's Omni gives you the ability to read both magnetic stripe and/or barcode media in a single slot! Designed into a rugged and weather resistant single piece housing, the Omni provides magnetic stripe reading ability of up to three tracks of magnetic data and visible or infrared barcode scanning for the most demanding applications. It signifies successful reads with a beeper and LED and has proven reliability beyond 1,000,000 passes. Data output can be formatted into needed format. Stands up to heavy use. The Id Tech Omni Reader is originally designed for the demanding Access Control and Time & Attendance markets. Its die cast metal base, stainless steel wear plate, and impact-resistant housing make Omni ideal for the growing market of self-service and un-attended applications. The Omni reads up to three tracks of magnetic information with a single swipe in either direction. Omni reads most bar code symbologies; both visible or infrared bar code data and/or MagStripe data, both in a single swipe. It has a beeper and three-color LED indicator to signal a successful read. The reader is programmable so that the data format and intelligent interface output can be programmed & configured to match application communication requirements.
