Used in good working condition HI-SHEAR CORP. LK-1200 High Security Padlock. This padlock measures roughly 4" long by 1-7/8" thick by 3" tall it is made of an alloy that is blast proof and resists cutting. It is constructed to meet Military specifications: MIL-P-43607E. It comes with 1 Medeco Brand UL 437 control key and 1 change key - both keys are in great condition - not bent or damaged. The control key allows you to service the lock set by removing the cylinder. The keys are stamped with "US MILITARY PROPERTY DO NOT DUPLICATE" as well as serial number. The keys are attached to an aluminum tag that is marked "CONTROL KEY DO NOT ISSUE FOR MAINTENANCE ONLY. The lock body is stamp marked "HI-SHEAR TORRANCE, CAL. U.S. 1983 PAT PEND" This padlock in very beefy and has a 1/2" diameter shackle. It appears as to someone used a Dremel to the body in an attempt to defeat it but quickly found out that it would be pointless. From what I know this lock was only made from 1982 to 1983 and was used in various high security applications in numerous branches of the US military specifically for weapons creates. This was a special project for Hi-Shear as  they are known for producing aerospace tools and fasteners for military aviation. The lock has a removable 6 pin Medeco cylinder which can be removed be turning control key counter clockwise to unlock the pins that hold the cylinder. The shackle gap is designed to very snugly fit the locking hasp of various standard military crates. The shackle is hardened steel with a carbide insert to protect it from being cut apart, the key-way is also protected from drilling by a ceramic plate. This lock is perfectly functional an operates smoothly. These locks probably cost the taxpayer several thousand dollars each. See Images All items are sold as is and will be shipped USPS.
