We have 30, 60, 100 and 120 foot tall Fire Towers in stock. We are just now May 2014, we are finishing up reassembling another fire tower.. This one is a 120 footer with a midpoint deck and a catwalk around the observers cabin. We will be installing a 1500 foot Zipline off this tower in the Spring of 2014. Great project. You are bidding on the complete 100 foot tall Fire Tower with Observers Cabin and structural tower with stairway access. This is a complete MC-39 Aermotor Forest Service Fire Observation Tower from the early 1950's. THESE WERE DESIGNED FOR COASTAL AND HIGH WIND LOCATIONS. THESE ARE THE NEWEST SERIES OF FIRE TOWERS AERMOTOR PRODUCED.. It is one of many that were used to spot fires; called "smokes" , and used in many states by the state and national forestry services to protect America's Woodlands and our Nations Forests and Private Timber lands. A duplicate of this Fire Tower recently sold for $28,000.00 disassembled and ready to be shipped. This Fire Tower is currently disassemble and stored at our facilities in Northern New York State. It is as pictured and we are the clear title owner of same. The disassembled Fire Tower will be ready to load and ship on or about January 30, 2012. This type of Fire Tower can be reconfigured at different heights of approximately 20 foot intervals using the original break points in the main legs. Identical Fire Towers are usually 33'0", 45'9", 59'3", 79'6" or 99'9" as is this one (100 feet). Height is from the top of the footers. to the floor of the Observers Cabin which adds 10' to the actual Fire Tower heights listed. We are insured and experienced to disassemble, ship, restore and re-erect Fire Towers as well as manufacture replacement parts for AERMOTOR, INTERNATIONAL DERRICK and other types of structural steel Fire Towers. We can oversee the whole project for you from acquisition to finished total restoration and reassembly for public use or on your private site. The actual Fire Tower structural steel is heavily galvanized and nearly rust free; the Observers Cabin at the top is 7 feet by 7 feet made from galvanized sheet metal walls and roof with windows all around. Entry is via wooden stair treads on steel stair stringers and through a trap door in the floor. We will include a set of original blueprints and consulting for re-erecting your Fire Tower. Buyer is responsible for all trucking costs, any and "ALL" repairs as may be expected with a 55-year old structure, Foundations and assembly are the total responsibility of the Buyer unless other arrangements are made with the Seller to re-erect this Fire Tower. The seller offers consulting and a set of Assembly Drawings with foundation requirements Blueprints with the purchase of this Fire Tower. These Drawings can be purchase separately. ZIPLINE TOWER - We have spoken to several interested parties about using these for the central hub within a Zip-Line Course or as a start point for a Zipline. As these are the most solidly engineered of all the Fire Towers manufactured by Aermotor it should hold up well. A Structural Engineer needs to be utilized to study the Fire Tower structure and design any and all required interface/s between the Zip-Line and the Fire Tower structure before any modifications are made. We can produce the engineering to attach Zip-lines to the tower structure but the buyer will be responsible for ALL engineering costs. We can also manufacture the Engineered attachments and platforms. RESTORATION AND RE-ASSEMBLY - We have taken down many Fire Towers and this one is in excellent condition and could be put up "As Is" without any repairs. We would recommend that all the old wooden steps and landings be replaced with new pressure treated lumber. The structural steel should be wire brushed and painted prior to reassembly. The windows may need some or all new glass. The cabin floor should be replaced. The cabin's sheet metal walls and roof are serviceable but would need to be painted. We can offer assistance to reassemble this Fire Tower for you at your location at additional costs to be determined. This can include; Foundations, Reassembly, Restoration, any Repairs needed. We will include a set of original blueprints and consulting for re-erecting your Fire Tower. We expect the best for all of our clients on each project. This FIRE TOWER WILL ONLY BE SOLD DISASSEMBLED AND ON THE GROUND ready to be loaded onto a full size flatbed semi-trailer truck as a dedicated load with no room for other items. We can package the complete Fire Tower into a 40 foot shipping container and ship anywhere world wide with full payment in advance.. There are extra costs associated with the cost of a container and international shipping. Estimated shipping weight is 24,000 pounds for the complete disassembled tower only. Shipping costs are not included but we will work with you to make the most economical arrangements for any destination in the World.
