My name is Patrick Elmlinger and I invented the "Fast Panel Lifter". I have been in the construction business, mainly Wallboard (sheetrock) for about 40 years. Six years ago, at 60 years of age, I realized that I needed to find a "better way" to do my job. Lifting the sheets was OK when you had help, but sometimes help wasn't available or reliable,  without it, lifting was much harder and slower. I toyed with ideas for a while, needing a tool that I could operate safely and alone. Two years of designing and finding the right materials, and my idea became a reality. That was four years ago and now my "Fast Panel Lifter" has helped save my back and keep me in business. The FPL is designed to allow one person to lift a drywall panel  (that is up to 4 feet 6 inches by 16 feet in size) on the wall, using a rechargeable clutch drill. The drill must be attached tightly to the winch to allow for forward (UP) and backward (DOWN) capabilities. Travel distance inside channel is 65" which is suitable for up to a 9' ceiling.
