At auction here are two hard plastic engraving templates of crests for college fraternity - Kappa Alpha (left in photo) and Florida State University.  I sold engraved items to college fraternities and sororities in the 1970's for awards and other activities.  THE AUCTION PRICE PAID WILL BE FOR BOTH TEMPLATES. I used these templates on a New Hermes Engraving Machine in the 1970's to engrave crests on metal plaques to place on walnut bases, to engrave metal mugs, to engrave flat bracelet charms, on bowls and any other metal item requested by sororities and fraternities from my engraving business. The templates were made for me by another engraver.  They were engraved in the plastic from much larger rubber kitchen tile masters where the crests had been cut by hand with a cutting tool.  Center and clamp the template to the engraving machine table and trace with the stylus to engrave the item desired. If you want to do actual engraving, then these are for you.  Now days there are other ways, but these are still very useful and nothing beats actual engraving. The plastic templates measure 6 1/2 inches by 10 inches by 1/16th inch thick.  On the templates, the Kappa Alpha crest measures 6 1/2 inches high and 5 5/8 inches wide.  The Florida State University crest measures 6 5/16 inches high and 6 5/16 inches wide. Together they weigh 6.5 ounces. They are in excellent condition ready to use.  Use them and make some money. Happy engraving. Look at my other listings of crest templates.
