Description We are offering for sale a vintage E. D. Bullard Hard Boiled construction in white with the suspension strap. This is a very used helmet that probably saw its owner through many years of service during his career. There are several stickers on the helmet. Most are for Bay Western and some say Exxon. His name is printed on a label on the front. There are some stickers that indicate he probably worked in Benicia, California or for a company that was based there. On the back is another sticker for his 18 years of service with Bay Cities Crane & Rigging (1970 to 1988). The Exxon sticker is dated 1987. The suspension strap was washed but not soaked as it should be. It's very dirty and stained. There are two cracks at the back of the helmet near the brim. You can see them in the photo. One extends to where the suspension unit slides into place, but it doesn't at all affect the suspension. Just expect a well worn hat that was used by a working man for many, many years. We love the history that this vintage helmet represents. There's a number on the underside that seems to indicate a date: 02/20/1987. This is probably when the helmet was made. And that's it!
