Up for sale is a Dewalt DC728 Cordless (1/2) chuck 14.4 Volt Drill. Plus some additional items:  plastic case carrying case 3 batteries PN DW9091 14.4 Volt (all can be charged) and life is short battery charger DW9116 some drill bits and a plug cutter These items are "used". Yes.  "used" because I loved this drill and I used it every day. And the batteries still have some power and can be charged; however, it is time for some replacements DW9091 or recycled ones. The charger works as I charged the batteries. The drill bits are used; however, they still can cut. I used to be an electrician and one of the first things you find-out is that you have to drill holes.  Lots of holes and different sizes of holes.  Holes in wood and holes in metal side panels. That means a good electrician has different kinds of drills. I purchased 2 of these Dewalts DC728. I liked the carrying case.  I liked the balance and the feel. In my opinion, it was important to have good balance and feel with the drill so that you did not make mistakes and not be constantly agitated by the fact that a single kind of drill could do all things.   I have seen electricians use an 18 Volt high torque drill to attempt to screw in a fixture 6/32 screw.  The result was "stripping" the thread.  It happens all the time. In my practice as an electrician, I actually had 10 different kinds of drills. And I had two of these DC728's. And I purchased about 6 extra DW9091 batteries as I never wanted to be in a situation of no power to the drill.  Many times there was no power on a new construction site or all the carpenters had all the available outlets "snagged" with their power tools. Anyway I attempted to be self sufficient plus the carpenters always got irritated with anyone taking power from "their" outlets. I used the drill for the following: 3/4 holes in wall studs reaming-out emt after cut - to remove the sharp edge 1/2 and 3/4 holes in sub panels 3 inch circles in sheet rock ceiling 6 inch circles for recessed light fixtures 2 1/2 inch circles for feeder I used plug cutters for short stock drilling I always used two of these drills: One at the truck bed for reaming conduit One inside the install area for drilling holes Having two always helped with efficiency with the work. I love this drill.  It also had a 1/2 inch chuck so that I could fit 1/2 extender bits and use 4 extenders attached to drill down through blocks inside a wall. Anyway, I am no longer in the electrical business and that is the reason for offering this Dewalt for sale at this time. This drill case will not fit into any large flat rate box for shipping. A large flat rate box cost is $ 17.90.  So, any custom box and shipping will probably cost between $ 20 - $ 25. For that reason, I am beginning the listing with local pick-up only in Los Angeles. I just do not believe that anyone would want to pay $ 25 for shipping across the country. Thanks.
