Stand Up Desk - Custom Red Oak with Slant Top Custom red oak stand up desk! If you work at a desk all day, you’ve probably read all the studies about how bad that is for your health. So, here’s your chance to get out of your desk chair and get your work done in style! This is a one-of-a-kind stand-up desk that I had built by a custom furniture maker around 1997. I found it to be fantastic for working on your feet and for developing and carrying out projects, working with maps and drawing, and for examining details. Specifics: Length is just over seven (7) feet at 87 inches, height is 42 inches, depth is 28 inches. There are four (4) drawers across the top on great slides, and two (2) doors that open to compartments with shelves. One of my favorite features of the desk is a slant top that is 36 inches wide and 8 inches high at the rear. Note that it is mobile and not fixed so it can be moved to any location on the surface that is best for working and how you would like to set it up. The only flaw in the piece is a crack that runs the length of the desk on the top. It did not cause me only problems with using the surface, so it’s more of a cosmetic concern. I am advised that the top can be easily glued to correct this. Otherwise, the desk is in mint condition. Construction: Slant top is removable, drawers removable, shelves removable, top comes off after removing screws that hold it together, and side pedestals then separate from top. A great design that is easy to take apart and put back together -- a desk that is easy to move. Since this is a big item, it is pickup only in Massena, New York. This is in Northern New York, in St. Lawrence County. I will be glad to assist with disassembling it so you can see how to do it. Sold as is, no return, payment via PayPal.
