The CTMP 2012 is a light weight, portable, instrument transformer test set. This instrument offers 0.1% ratio accuracy over the entire range of measurements and provides an unmatched array of test functions. This instrument performs: Ratio and Polarity of current, potential and power transformers. The CTMP will perform a precise ratio test of any transformer and offers 0.1% accuracy over the entire measurement range, it gives you the precision at all ratios that others can't. The CTMP saves ratio data to a flash drive for easy creation of a data sheet. The CTMP 2012 performs a saturation or excitation test of current transformers. It offers two excitation voltage ranges, 0 - 200VAC and 0 - 1000VAC. In saturation test mode the unit displays exciting current and voltage. A real time graph is plotted on the screen during performance of the test allowing observance of the knee. A distortion measurement identifies the spike in the exciting current waveform as the core saturates and flags this point by displaying the word SAT ! above the current reading. Metering measures AC Voltage, Current and Phase Angle for easy performance of load tests. You don't have to buy another instrument. Clamp on and hard wire inputs are provided. The meter will also ratio a live CT using the clamp on and hard wire imputs. The CTMP 2012 performs a secondary injection test of CT secondary circuits. This mode meters the current output at the X1-X2 terminals and the current input at the I terminals or clamp on. The unit also measures the angle between these currents. This allows injection of a current at the CT secondary terminals and verification that the current direction and amplitude is correct in the connected meters and relays.
