Commercial model, Ball Screws and 25mm Rail & Carriages on all axis. Special Pricing reg $4595.00 This is a 24"x 24" x 4" CNC. It's milled from single sheet of 6061 aluminum, not forged pot metal and ground to fit then covered with tin. There is 25 mm rail and carriages on each axis, and an oil flush connector on each axis. This unit is ridged we only use grade 8 bolts; its Ball Screws have bearings and a nut on both ends to relieve stress on the motors. Rail and Carriages are 3 to 4 time more expensive than Rods and Linear bearings. They are able to hold a much more precise cut and weight over rods and linear bearings. You can look here on eBay used rail & carriages that are 20 years old are being sold and are still in perfect shape. Remember a CNC is like a chain it is only as strong as its weakest link. That's why we use 25mm rail and carriages on all axes. From our experience most don't realize how they work. In CNC's if the steppers are not matched with the controller the stepper or controller or both will run hot. And a stepper that is over rated for a controller will have less torque than one matched for a controller. Our controllers and steppers on all our units are now matched. They will run and only be warm to the touch. But they are running at full torque. The T-slot, along the sides, have nuts inserted, and are used to screw a piece of 3/4" sub-floor onto: (such as AdvanTech). After installing the sub-floor board, a piece of sacrificial mdf board can be screwed onto it. Since you will make a mistake once in awhile, this is what I recommend doing, and I have been doing this for many years. With using the mdf board, you can put screws and clamps anywhere to hold the pieces down, and when you need to cut around a piece, you can put a screw through the piece to hold it. With a T-slot top, you can only put clamps where the slots are, and when you need to cut the piece out, it really becomes a hassle. I'm pricing this unit as a kit, which means the X&Y will not be assembled. The Z will be assembled for you, and simple tools will be needed to put the X&Y together. You'll want to take your time putting it together. Generally, most people can put this CNC together in an evening, and the controller is in an aluminum box that doubles as a heat sink, so there is no need for a fan. This helps protect the controller and keeps out unwanted particles that can damage or short out controller. We have included everything in this kit to get you up and running. A CNC is an excellent tool for many hobbyists, which can turn their creations into a part time or full time job. Like I said, I have been doing CNC work for years; we've built a lot of machines for individuals as well as commercial users. This machine is capable of making one just like it, or even a larger one. Because we think that the average handyman will be able to assemble this unit, we decided to price a kit unit to cut down the cost. Also, in doing this, it saves us time on assembling a complete unit, and it cuts out approximately ten 2X4's for proper packing of a completed unit; which also saves our customers on shipping costs. We have been selling CNC products for several years, and all of our customers have been completely satisfied, and we guarantee, at this price, you will not find a unit of this size and quality on the market! And, we're always here to answer any of your questions! We reserve the right's to make change for improvements.
