Up for auction we have a CLAYTON Graves style vaginal speculum. This is the tool used by obstetricians and gynecologists to perform PAP smears and internal vaginal exams. This one measures 1 3/8" by 4" making it a medium size. Medium sized specula are typically used on women who are sexually active but have not gone through childbirth (or sometimes for extra comfort on those who have delivered a child vaginally.) This one is in excellent shape, and though made in Pakistan seems to be of equal quality with the USA made Claytons. Clayton includes teeth on the two parts where the handles slide to expand it more to prevent slippage. Other brands rely solely on friction. I am not a doctor and not an expert.
