These blemishes (scratches) are purely cosmetic and will not affect the functionality of the knife. I have taken a few close-up photos of the flaws so you can see for yourself. What you see, is what you get.  The handles are firm and tightly sealed. The knife edge is perfect. This knife is really perfect other than the cosmetic flaws. The mid-knife flaw is the worst (third photo). This knife, if perfect retails for $95.70.  My cost to you is ONLY $37.70 which is  $58.00 off list and that includes FREE SHIPPING.  Now is the time to get a very valuable knife at a fraction of the cost.
