The ceramic fiber blanket is produced from high strength spun ceramic fibers and is needled to provide exceptional handling strength.  Used in a variety of heat processing applications, it is lightweight and thermally efficient, resulting in a material that possesses the advantages of low heat storage and complete resistance to thermal shock. Due to its lower density (6#) this blanket is not recommended for covering with stucco or refractory cement.  It is NOT appropriate where high tensile strength, flexural strength or tear resistance is needed - Use 8# instead.   6# IS good for sandwiching between rigid walled cavities, for one time use applications, and where minimal compression and strength are needed. This new in the box ceramic fiber blanket may be ideal for the following applications:Brick Adobe Wood Fired Outdoor Ovens Pizza Oven and Wood Stove Refurbishing Welding or Soldering Blanket Maker Forge Kits Engine Exhaust System Sound and Temperature Reduction Custom Kitchen Appliance, Oven and Fireplace Installation Heating System and Industrial Boilers Heat Treating Atmosphere Furnaces Insulating Exhaust Ducts, Flues and Chimneys Furnace, kiln, reformer and boiler linings Furnace door linings and seals Reusable insulation for steam and gas turbines High-temperature kiln and furnace insulation Primary reformer heater insulation High temperature gasket Expansion joint seals Glass furnace crown insulation Field steam generator lining Nuclear insulation applications Thermal reactor insulation Flexible high temperature pipe insulation Investment casting mold wrapping Removable casting mold wrapping Removable insulating blankets for stress relieving welds Pressure and cryogenic vessel fire protection Soaking pit seals High temperature filtration Incineration equipment and stack linings Please note, the buyer is responsible for determining the suitability and thickness for the above applications.   We recommend having a qualified architect, engineer, or technician evaluate this material for any safety critical application. 6 pound density, 2300F (1260C) 1" (inch) x 24" (2 feet) x 25' (feet) material..
