NOW INCLUDES an accurate CALIBRATION VALUE for CDV-700 or Ludlum w/ 44-9 or 44-7 GEIGER COUNTERS! Also, if you have a recent calibration on your counter, and you take a reading from this test source and the mR or CPM value you get will be valid for the practical lifetime of your instrument- the decay will be only about 5% in 80 YEARS. This is a very small size low level operational test sample source that will replace the damaged or missing test source for your CDV-700 or any other geiger counter. It comes with a calibration value for either a 44-9 style pancake probe or a CDV-700 metal probe so you can rough calibrate (within 10%) your CDV-700 or other Geiger counter. It is a has a very long half life unlike the original SR-90 beta test source used on the CDV-700's. To use it, simply tape it on a convenient spot on your geiger counter instrument rad sticker side up. Note, isotope is naturally occurring radioactive element as the sulfate, encasing material is laminated polyimide since it has very good radiation resistance as well as other properties for long life.
