The equipment includes a housing assembly, an amplifier assembly and an alarm assembly. This model is designed for a Class I, Group D, Division II (potentially hazardous area) environment and is not fused, but is provided with a glass enclosed reed switch operated by a magnet located on a locking bracket provided with this model. The housing assembly contains the set point dial (calibrated in percent of span), input current test jacks, and optional indicating lights. The amplifier assembly is mounted as a plug-in module on the chassis, and may be removed for servicing by pulling it out of its socket. All electronic components are mounted on printed circuit boards, and the rectifying diodes which are mounted to the underside of the chassis. Adjustments for Zero and Span are mounted at the top of the circuit board. The alarm assembly contains a plug-in double-pole-double-throw relay with contacts rated at 2 Amperes, 120 Volts, 60 cps, or 2 Amperes at 28 Volts DC. The contacts are wired to terminals on the main terminal block. A transparent plastic relay cover is standard equipment. The alarm unit is easily connected and is actuated when the signal increases to the set point (high alarm) or falls to the set point (low alarm). The alarm is made high or low depending upon the position of a plug-in jumper on the printed circuit board of the amplifier assembly. The input to the alarm electronic circuit is 0.2 to 1.0 Volts developed by the signal flowing through a resistor (20 ohms for a 10-50 mA rating) located in the plug which is attached to the rear of the circuit boards. The alarm is "fail-safe", in that a loss of power or many other malfunctions cause the relay to assume an alarm condition. Specifications Frequency: 50-60 CY.
