Item recovered locally, power on tested and sold AS IS. This auction is for an Applied Instruments Inc. Carrier Generator 5-112 MHz, Model 5112. We got three of these similar devices, so I decided to start putting them on Ebay. This one has been used, but when I plugged it in and powered it on to AC, the red power light came on fine. After a few minutes, I switched it over to DC power, and you could see the red light flickering on and off, as if it was charging the battery inside. I don't know how well this battery will work since this is probably an older unit, so might want to think about a new battery. This takes a standard D-Style power cord, but one WILL NOT be included, since they are very easy to find around the house. Front panel has a bunch of switches and other items. The back has a couple of RS232 connections and the power plug connector, along with a compartment for a fuse.These aren't very cheap to buy, and I only found one on Amazon that they wanted $500 for . Again, this is only power on tested, so I can't be sure of any function of this unit. I sell items like this all the time, untested, and people are VERY happy. Thanks for your time.
