AlphaLab's AC Gaussmeter, Magnetometer, and Tesla Meter (UHS2) is a cutting-edge magnetic field meter that measures AC magnetic field in a broad frequency range from 13 Hz to 75 kHz (75,000 Hz). The frequencies range from ELF (below 1 kHz) to VLF (above 1kHz) magnetic fields. The meter's optional output is a 1/8" (3.5 mm) phone jack (mono) that is similar to headphones jacks. The output is positive only and slowly varying (1/4 second response time), proportional to whatever the display is reading at the time. It comes with a plug that has two bare wires to connect to users' data acquisition system or oscilloscope. An output of 2V corresponds to full scale (1999.99 milligauss), and 0 mV corresponds to 0 field. The meter is designed to measure the true 3-axis magnitude of the AC field. Users can also make two other specialized measurements by switching the knob to either 3-axis VLF-only (1kHz – 75 kHz) to measure the strength of higher-frequency fields, or 1-axis full bandwidth (13 Hz – 75 kHz) to determine the principal direction of the AC magnetic field. Most measurements will be performed with the meter's knob turned to 3-Axis ELF+VLF. This setting measures the true magnitude of magnetic field at the widest range of frequencies (ELF + VLF) and makes the AlphaLab UHS2 AC Gaussmeter Magnetic Flux Magnetometer Tesla Meter an ideal choice for those in need of accurate and reliable AC magnetic field measurements.
