3D Systems ThermoJet Solid Object 3d Printer I have no experience with 3d printers at all, but did manage to fire this one up. Here's the scoop: Machine is used. It has a fair amount of splattered 3d printing material inside it, but it DOES fire up, it heats up, and all the (moving) parts inside ( accordion, platform, doors, track, etc ) move freely. It does display an error after warming up for a while: see pictures for shot of lcd display panel. NOTE: I did find a few wires inside chewed through ( presumed rodent culpability) which I repaired. There's a slim chance I might have missed one and THAT could be the problem. I strongly suggest if you have no familiarity with this particular model, you NOT buy it .. On the other hand, if you have one of these, or DID, and are looking for another one, this might be just the ticket. This machine was manufactured in 1999, Consumeables are still available for it. ( It has a new/full "cartridge" in it - if you can call it that). The stuff is rather pricey - but you should already know that. That all being said, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to direct me in further testing of this unit, ( hopefully, you know more about these than I do .. if not, I respectfully suggest this isnt the machine for you ... :-( For those of you intrepid enough to STILL be interested in acquiring this BEHEMOTH, the physical specs are as follows: Dimensions: 54w x 30d x 44h in Weight: 826 lbs Yes, it's big. (It has one of the largest "build capacity chambers" I've ever heard of. Maximum model size: 10 x 7.5 x 8 in (xyz) (250 x 190 x 200 mm ) Resolution: 300 x 400 x 600 DPI (xyz) I DO have the facilities here to prep this for shipping, be it wrapped and palletized or fully crated - your choice; heck - if you catch me at the right time I might even be able to deliver it ..
