EXCEPTIONALLY CRISP AND CLEAR. These are the predecessor to the Gold sputtered lenses and function in the same way. They dissipate heat by reflecting the vast majority of UV radiation, therefore keeping the lens from "absorbing" it. This keeps the lens cooler, your eyes and face cooler, prolongs the life of the lens, and increases your safety and clarity. 2'X4-1/4" EXCELLENT CLARITY. THESE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN WITH A PHONE CAMERA WITH NO SPECIAL FILTERS, WHILE WELDING WITH FLUX CORED INNERSHIELD USING NR211 WIRE ON 15YR OLD RUSTY STEEL. IT'S A DIRTY, SMOKEY, NASTY WELDING PROCESS... THEREFORE THE PHOTOS DO ZERO JUSTICE TO THESE LENSES. THE CLARITY AND COLOR IN YOUR HOOD IS PRISTINE. Most manufacturers have completely done away with the older Silver sputtered lenses in favor of the more expensive Gold sputtering. However, though Gold does dissipate heat slightly more rapidly, It's reflective properties are nearly identical. But, GOLD IS A SOFTER METAL AND SCRATCHES / FLAKES MORE EASILY. Silver lenses are a bit tougher and can withstand more abuse without flaking or scratching after you sneeze. Therefore you're less inclined to buy them as frequently...Which is exactly what manufacturers DON'T WANT. SILVER COATED WELDING LENS. ANSI Z87.1 certified hardened glass, Silver sputtered. This is a WHITE TO VERY SMOOTH WHITE-Green or WHITE-Amber in color. PLEASE SELECT YOUR SHADE NUMBER USING THE DROP DOWN MENU. SHADES 10 THROUGH 14. ADD ONE OF MY BLUE IR FILTERING LENSES TO THIS LENS AND EXPERIENCE A CLARITY YOU CAN GET NOWHERE ELSE IN A WELDING FILTER. This is a single glass welding filter lens in Dark Green color. If looking at a very high concentration of yellow / orange light it will appear slightly green amber without an IR filter. IT MUST BE CHIPPED HEAVILY OVER AN AREA THAT CANNOT BE COVERED BY THE BORDER OF THE HOOD LENS RECESS, OR CRACKED, BROKEN OR SHATTERED.
