• Individual Shakertown R&R Grooved face Cedar Shingles • Made from No. 1 Unfinished Kiln-dried Western Red Cedar • 18" tall shingles • Random width averaging 3" - 8" wide per shingle • Sold by the linear foot, (129 linear feet for 1 full carton) Shakertown R&R shingles are used on exterior and interior walls when a high quality shingle appearance is required. R&R Shingles are trimmed so sides are parallel and fit together nicely. The butt ends are sawed smooth at right angles to the side edges. This shingle has a grooved face and made of unfinished kiln-dried no.1 western red cedar. Shingle is 18" tall and is random width, averaging 3" to 8" wide individual shingles. Sold by the linear foot spanning the random width, so one linear foot will be 18" tall by 12" wide section of individual shingles. 129 linear feet (1 full carton) of 18" shingles covers 100 sq. ft. at 14" exposure (double course application), or 50 sq. ft. at 7" exposure (single course application). Double course coverage requires undercourse shingles to achieve proper application. For fasteners, recommend rust-resistant, hot dipped galvanized, 4D box nails or pneumatic siding nails with a rust resistant finish may also be used. Fasteners are not included with this product.
