Connectors for this cable include Explosion Proof, Class I Division 1: 424MA series – all nickel-plated aluminum and Rain Tight: 416MC series – all nickel-plated brass. This cable has a size of AWG/kcm The conductors of the cable are soft and bare annealed copper per ASTM B-3, with class B stranding compressed to ASTM B-8. The cable's insulation is made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) per ICEA S-95-658 and UL Standard 44 for Type XHHW-2 conductors. The grounding conductor is soft, bare, and annealed copper per ASTM B-3, with class B stranding that is sized according to NEC requirements. The armor of the cable is impervious, continuously welded, and corrugated aluminum. It is also black flame-retardant and sunlight-resistant, made of PVC. It is suitable for power, control, and lighting circuits in various industrial and commercial applications, such as pulp and paper, mining, and petroleum fields. The cable is UL listed, approved for use in wet or dry locations, and suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, aerially, in conduit, ducts, cable trays, or direct burial in circuits not exceeding 600 volts. This cable has passed various flame tests, such as UL 1581 70,000 BTU/hr flame test, ICEA 70,000 BTU/hr and 210,000 BTU/hr flame tests, and IEEE 383 70,000 BTU/hr flame test. The color codes of this cable are 14 AWG - 10 AWG: ICEA Method 1, Table E-2, while 8 AWG - 750 kcmil: ICEA Method 4.
