1/2" x 100 ft Blue Pex Tubing/Pipe - Pex-B Potable Water - Lead Free North American Made for about same price as our competitors imported pex! Unlike our competitors, we are happy list the manufacturer of all of our pex tubing and fittings. We receive our pex supplies from Seymour Industries a North American manufacturer and distributor with sister companies all over North America.  APPLICATIONS: 1/2" PEX tubing is commonly used for Plumbing applications for hot and cold water (typically use blue for cold and red for hot) Open loop hot water applications COMPATIBILITY: Crimp Connection System (Crimp Tool + Crimp Rings + Crimp Fittings) Cinch (Clamp) Connection System (Cinch Tool + St. Steel Clamps + Crimp Fittings) Press System (by Viega) Sharkbite Fittings Compression PEX Fittings and others STANDARDS, CERTIFICATIONS & APPROVALS: ASTM F876: Standard Specification for Crosslinked Polyethylene (PEX) Tubing ASTM F877: Standard Specification for Crosslinked Polyethylene (PEX) Plastic Hot- and Cold-Water Distribution Systems CSA B137.5: Cross Linked Polyethylene (PEX) Tubing Systems for Pressure Applications ANSI/NSF 61-G, NSF-pw (certified for Portable Water Applications) TECHNICAL DATA: PEX type: PEX-b PEX tubing size: 1/2" OD: 0.625" ID: 0.475" Pressure ratings: 100 psi @ 180 F, 160 psi @ 73 F Minimum bending radius: 5" (industry standard for 1/2" PEX) SDR-9 dimensional standards; Pex 5006 About the Company: Used in residential plumbing and radiant systems for more than 30 years, PEX has a proven performance record and is growing in popularity within the North American plumbing and radiant heating markets. CANPEX™ ULTRA is a multi-layer PEX product which has proven documented performance in chlorinated, potable water systems after extended UV exposure. Its unique multi-layer design provides the durability, and performance characteristics, to ensure Seymour’s CANPEX ULTRA has a longer more dependable service life for the end user. CANPEX ULTRA has proven to be superior in performance, in even the most stringent chlorine-resistance testing standards performed on PEX tubing. All chlorine-resistance testing on Seymour products has also been in conformance with ASTM test method F 2023. Seymour supports NSF’s voluntary P-171 tough pass/fail definitions, including a large design factor for continuous recirculation applications, because future water conditions and other environmental factors may present a significant risk to a plumbing system in the future. PEX producers have no assurance that normal chlorine levels seen today (generally less than 2 ppm but occasionally up to 5 ppm) will be the same 10 to 20 years from now. Virtually all of the manufacturers who have touted “UV resistance” in their PEX products have been unable to obtain the prestigious chlorine-resistance recirculation rating as well as the six month extended UV protection listing of PEX 5306. This alone makes their products inferior to CANPEX ULTRA. In fact, most manufacturers have met only the minimum chlorine-resistance requirement with the newly incorporated ASTM F876. CANPEX ULTRA combines added UV and chlorine protection with all of the same features installers look for in a PEX tubing product including: Faster, easier and more economical installation Flexibility to reduce the number of fittings required in the system Ability to use traditional tools and fittings used in standard PEX installations Corrosion and freeze damage resistance Scaling and pitting resistance Safe, chemical-free installation Proven and reliable brass and Poly-Alloy insert fittings to complete the system Seymour recommends outside exposure not exceed 60 days. However, based on testing at independent laboratories, even after six months of exposure CANPEX ULTRA retains its chlorine-resistance properties in hot water recirculating systems. All CANPEX ULTRA tubing is produced in Copper Tube Sizes from 3/8" to 1" in diameter and has a 100 psi pressure rating at 180°F and 160 psi rating at 73°F. It’s classified as SDR-9 and is ideal for both plumbing and hydronic radiant heating applications. Seymour’s tradition of stringent research and testing at extreme pressures, temperatures and water quality conditions – in-house and at independent labs – is responsible for developing a product the marketplace needs and can depend upon. CANPEX ULTRA exceeds the performance and service life of any competitive PEX product in the US and Canadian markets today. All CANPEX ULTRA tubing is marked with the name VPFL as the manufacturer, nominal size, plastic tubing material designation code PEX 5306 (indicating that the PEX tubing has been tested and meets the F876 requirements for minimum chlorine resistance at the end use condition of 100% @140°F), design pressure and temperature ratings, relevant ASTM standards, manufacturing date and production code, as well as NSF-pw stamps (indicating third-party certification by NSF International for meeting and exceeding performance and toxicological standards, as well as achieving the highest chlorine resistance rating in the PEX industry). NSF conducts random on site inspections of the manufacturing facilities and independently tests CANPEX ULTRA tubing for compliance with physical, performance, and toxicological standards. CANPEX ULTRA is also certified to meet the Uniform Plumbing Code, NSF-61, NSF-14, NSF Annex G (Lead Free), CSA (Canadian Standards Association) B137.5 (cNSF), ULC/UL (Underwriters Laboratory) S101/UL263 and ULC S102 through Warnock Hersey.
